It is no secret that my happy place is in the kitchen and thankfully the girls are following suit with a love of making their own cookies, cakes and everything else!
When we were asked to review the Kenwood Stand Mixer I imagined it to be like any other kitchen toy they have had, broken within 5 minutes of trying to use because they aren’t actually meant to be used are they?! This time though Casdon and Kenwood have hit the jackpot with this machine! Not only does it look exactly like an actual £££ mixer but IT WORKS TOO!
All you need to do is add 2 AA batteries and away it goes, mixing the ingredients so that the kids can make their own cakes and biscuits! This is great for the girls as they love those packet mixes – the character themed ones that cost a fortune and you get 12 teeny cakes from – yes those!
There is also a hand crank that allows you to turn the whisk by hand meaning that should the batteries be used up you can still get them to help – no excuses now kids!
The mixer comes with all the necessary accessories including a spatula, whisk, paddle and recipe book. I have already been sent out on a mission to find a piping bag and some other things that the girls can use by themselves – we have even made a little space in our kitchen cupboard for their own utensils and machines!
Now all i need is for a working Casdon dish washing machine and my life just got a whole lot easier!
‘It’s just like yours but my cakes are better!’ – Evie, 7.
As you can tell its been a huge hit in this house and we would highly recommend it to anyone interested in getting the little ones involved in the kitchen!
The Kenwood Stand Mixer is available to buy from Amazon and retails at £20.00
