Self care is something that is often put on the back burner when you have children, I know there can be days when I don’t even get round to brushing my hair – its in a mum bun and that is as much TLC as it gets! Having spent Sunday afternoon being treated to a make over and hair styling from the Glam Squad Express at Jesmond I realised that I do like to take time out to to pamper myself! It made me feel so much better about myself and more able to cope with everything life throws on a daily basis!
Carrying on the self care at home I have been using TRESemme Specialist Range, Oleo Radiance lightweight shampoo, conditioner, oil elixir and creamy moisturiser mask. Just a couple of steps to amazingly illuminated hair which feels exactly as it did after the salon session last weekend!
I have always used TRESemme but this is a whole new level of hair care, you can even use the oil elixir before shampooing for extra nourishment!
Presented in a glass carry case this would make an ideal gift for someone who needs a little TLC or treat for themselves! RRP: £30.00
For my skin I have been trying out the new Sukin Detoxifying Clay Masque and Facial Recovery Serum. The main thing that stands out about Sukin Organics is that their products are 100% vegan, 100% carbon neutral with no animal testing and a whole list of NO contents…. NO artificial colours, NO parabens, NO harsh detergents to name just a few!
The clay masque is exactly as you would imagine, containing kale, spirulina, parsley and chlorella which offer a super green blend of detoxifying antioxidants and vitamins to promote healthy, youthful skin. Avocado and baobab lock in moisture while goji berry encourages a dewy complexion.
Best applied with a masque brush to a damp face, left for 15 minutes before washing with warm water and wash cloth.
Now i just need to remember to keep up with the treatments, we all deserve some time out…it doesn’t hurt that they all smell delicious too!
Serum RRP: £17.49
