We have always loved playing games as a family so when we were asked to review Brainstorms newest game, Igloo Mania, we were excited to see what it involved.
Marketed at children from age 5+ Igloo Mania is a great game for a family of 4. Included in the box is a solid igloo form around which you build the igloo blocks, Parker Pete the eskimo sits atop of the igloo and the point of the game is you don’t knock him off!
All of the ice blocks need numbering from 1 to 5, 1 being the larger blocks at the base and working numberically upwards to the final ring of number 5s. This all makes sense when you get to pull out a brick and ‘earn’ the numbers, the player with the lowest number at the end is the winner. Use the four penguin ice picks to try and pull out the blocks from the igloo without Pete noticing. Just hook the ice pick in the middle of the block turn and pull. This of course comes at a cost considering when you pull out the lower number blocks you have more chance of toppling Parker Pete!
The game can be played around the solid dome or carefully lifted and placed on a flat surface, obviously the unstructured dome is a lot easier to make collapse, we stuck with the keeping it on the framework after a couple of tantrums!
Priced between £18 and £20 (reduced on Amazon at the moment) this is definitely a game that the girls love playing again and again!
XOXO

We were sent the Igloo Mania game for the purposes of this review. All views and opinions are our own and genuine.
That looks like such a fun game! If I had it, I’d probably bring it to work for the guys to play at lunch, haha
I think my kids would equally love and loath this game! It’s very clever but I would imagine unsteady hands could end the game quickly.
