It’s all good and well being on a diet but changing the way you eat permanently is the better way to effectively keeping off the weight. We were kindly send the Vonshef Air Fryer from Domu to have a go at making fried food more healthy.
Using up to 80% less fat than normal fryers I was delighted to read the booklet which informed me its not just the normal things that would go in a chip pan you can fry with an air fryer…so not just chips and breaded products etc. You can actually cook cakes and more in here so it is a great idea to try all different kinds of foods to see which you prefer.
The VonShef Air Fryer takes up very little space yet can hold enough food easily for the three of us and could even accommodate a lot more if needed. The removable tray makes it an easy clean too, to make wedges all you need to do is season and add to the fryer with a little spray oil. Close the draw and check the book to see the time settings needed.
The air fryer benefits from a 0 – 60 minute timer with automatic shut off for overheat protection. The adjustable temperature thermostat – with temperatures ranging from 150 – 200°C – can be increased in increments of 10° for easily controlled, precise cooking.
Once the timer beeps your food is ready and you can tell the difference between something that has been air baked and something that was fried straight away, the fact they turned golden and crispy without the need for lots of oil is great and ideal for my weight loss programme!
The non stick 2.5L basket makes baking anything really easy and as mentioned before the clean up is super easy, nothing worse than having to scrub at baked on crumbs and fat!
