I thought it was about time I did a little update to see where I am with the Christmas prep this year, this is more for me than anyone reading (…if anyone does read it!) There was a time when I used my blog as a diary and I want to try and get back to that, I still need to do sponsored posts and collaborations – I am self employed so this is my job, BUT I want to try and make it a little more of a place I can look back and see how far we have come too.
That being said this is going to be the first of a monthly round up of all the little bits that don’t warrant a full blog post of their own. Snippits of what we got up to and things I have found and love, things the girls do and family time.
We are almost done on the Christmas shopping front, I got a few of the last bits when I hit Dalton Park last week and the girls could have quite happily just made camp in the Lindt shop….Amelia thought these were all samples and thankfully I managed to prize her away before she got her hands on them!
Most of the pressies are wrapped too, I need to keep on top of it as the girls are the same as I was….they peek! I don’t just mean taking a little look, they will all out go hunting! I remember squeezing presents, taking the sellotape off one end and gently unwrapping them, finding presents that looked identical so that me and my sister didn’t have to open both to know what we had! Sorry mum!
My fabulous sis, yes the same one that infiltrated pressies with me, has made me these gorgeous baubles for my new tree (more on that in a minute!) How sweet are these and I am in love with the little paw prints on the dogs ones! She has the most fabulous website Bella Boos Gifts which specialises in wedding goodies but as you can see, she can make anything!
Now the tree! I am in love with the tree! We have never had a real tree and now I am totally wondering why not!? This was delivered yesterday by The Christmas Forest, complete with base, and is so much more than I could have imagined. Way bigger too, it took me an hour to rearrange the furniture to fit it into the room without taking over. I really do recommend getting a real tree, I can’t see me ever going back to fake now and both the service and delivery were second to none.
How is your Christmas prep coming along?
XOXO
Debbie
I was sent the tree from The Christmas Forest, all views and opinions are my own and genuine (I really do love it!)
