As you have probably guessed we tend to make a fuss of the holidays by crafting, making, baking and decorating throughout our home!
Easter is no exception and although we will be out and about at castle quests and egg hunts we also look forward to snuggling on the sofa and watching some of the kids favourite movies played to perfection on our Panasonic Viera tv.
We have a line up of movies to watch including Evies favourite – Hop!
A fabulously funny tale about a bunny that just wants to rock but tells an important tale of family. Amelia has found a love for Pooh bear so we have just purchased Winnie the Pooh, Springtime with Roo to watch too, we are hopeful that she will sit still throughout and I’m sure the pull of a chocolate nest will work!
Alongside the movies we will be finishing up our Easter Tree, each year the kids write wishes etc and we pop them onto the tree. We decorate eggs (light empty shells or polystyrene ones will do) to hang and if the kids bring home any decorations made at school they will be popped on there too. Its a cute way to celebrate and an ideal table centrepiece!
If you don’t have an actual twig tree why not make your own – grab a couple of branches from the garden and pop them in a vase – check out this post or this one for details on how we made a couple of our temporary ones before we got the solid twig tree!
Its all about taking part and making it special for the kids, whether they remember it or not its lovely to have photographs and keepsakes to look back on and reminisce! I would love to know if you have any plans and what you are doing this year? Are you a ‘make a fuss’ person, do you just love a good excuse to eat chocolate or is it simply a faith based weekend?
What ever you are up to I hope you have a lovely time as we will too!
XOXO
Debbie
