One of the things on the girls Christmas list this year was the Disney Eye Found It, a board game where you have to find hidden objects in a bid to get to the castle before midnight. The girls love playing hidden object games on the laptop so after seeing this advertised on the tv we were all excited to add it to our letter to Santa.
We were offered the chance to review it and were a little excited that we didn’t have to wait until Christmas to play (luckily I hadn’t bought it yet!) Being huge board game fans this is one that we all can play too, including Amelia.
Included within the box is 1x Jigsaw cut playing board, 6x playing pieces with bases, 1x spinner, 12x Plastic Rings, 30x search cards, 1x sand timer and Instructions. The board itself is 6ft and there are over 1000 treasures to find ranging from the Mickey Mouse famous logo to jewels and post boxes.
The game is simple to play, you flick the spinner and whatever number it lands on is the number of spaces you move. If you land on a Mickey Mouse symbol you turn over a card, set the timer and head off on your search of the board to find the image displayed. There are little rings that you put over the image on the board, when the timer runs out you count up the rings used and all move forward that many spaces. We love that we all got to work together on this and it wasn’t a one person mission.
We have realised Evie is a terrible cheat and will jump and skip spaces if not watched properly, Amelia puts the rings over everything and anything and Ethan will keep flipping the timer so that it feels like we are looking for the images forever! The joy of board games with kids!
This is one game that I am glad lived up to its expectations, we have played it every day since it arrived and can see it becoming a regular feature on our family games night.
rrp: £19.99 but only £11.50 on Amazon right now.
