Founded in 1970 by husband and wife team David and Susan Graff, David Charles has grown to become one of the most coveted names in British party wear and special occasion dresses for girls age 2 to 16. The brand supplies the likes of Harrods and Saks 5th Ave in New York City.
We were kindly sent the Royal Blue and Gold Opera Gown for Evie to wear for a special occasion. Exclusive to David Charles this dress is the epitome of royal style and would work well for parties, concerts or opera evenings. Royal blue and gold are a timeless classic combo and the layers of tulle showcase a stunning polished petticoat.
The small cap sleeves are ideal for the warmer weather and give a touch of elegance. The zipper is concealed at the back so the dress is completely flawless.
Evie adores the tulle skirt as she said it made her feel like a princess, the length was perfect and fit was slightly on the slim side so we were advised to order larger. We ordered age 10 and I feel it was right to go up just the one size.
Personally I adore the look of the David Charles gowns and dresses as they offer a timeless silhouette in an age where wearing dresses seems to be almost against the norm. Evie is a total girly girl so loves dressing up and making a fuss, she is like her mother on that score. Any excuse to get dressed up!
I am delighted to be able to offer one of my readers the chance to win a one of these dresses simply by entering the Gleam giveaway below. Good Luck!
The David Charles Royal Blue and Gold Opera Gown is currently in the sale and down from £365 to £139 and available in sizes age 8, 10, 12 and 14.
