Retro toys always make a comeback and one thing I was glad to see again was Stickle Bricks. I remember playing them when I was small and having them for the boys when they were little too so to be able to play with them again almost 20 years later with the girls is such a blast from the past.
Aimed at children age 18mths the Big Red Bucket is filled with bricks and priced at £19.99. This is a great alternative to the other building block manufacturer in that they are so much easier to hold and also build with. The actually stick together which means you can make shapes and animals etc, not just buildings and blocks. The Stickle Bricks Big Red Bucket is the perfect first construction toy for babies and toddlers.
Amelia loves to build and this bucket combines a variety of different coloured and shaped bricks which are super easy to assemble pieces that lock together any way they like! Anything that helps promotes the development of dexterity and imagination is a good thing with little ones. In May she will be starting nursery and up until then its down to me to get her developing her colours and shapes and she is doing so well with both!
I hadn’t seen Stickle Bricks for years then we headed out for lunch one day and the owner produced a basket filled with these little spikey bricks, the girls loved them and sat a good hour playing with them, enjoying the fact there were so many shapes and sizes, ones with holes in the middle they could use as windows etc too.
There will be a Twitter Frenzy on the 16th of March so join in for lots of fun, games and prizes too. Head on over to Twitter and follow @mumstv #sticklebricks
