Lets put it out there…
Kids are a nightmare to take shopping, they always find the sweet aisle and they tend to gravitate towards the novelty items with plastic tat, I can feel the collective nod of the heads so I know you feel my pain!
I begrudge spending pounds on something that will be thrown away as we leave the parking lot – along with the crushed up ‘egg’ you have to break to get the plastic tat!
When I was contacted by PLAYin Choc about a new concept for ‘playful chocolate surprises’ I was a little dubious but love the idea so we agreed to give them a go. I didn’t tell the girls what they were for the purpose of that surprise element.
The boxes arrived and I have to say they are a good size and as I am a sucker for packaging I love the colours and decoration. Amelia immediately tore into hers and we were both pleasantly surprised to see 2 full bars of organic chocolate!
Compared to the likes you get with other surprise toys this is quality chocolate but maybe a little on the dark side for teeny ones – Amelia wasn’t keen but both myself and Evie loved it! Very moreish!
Also inside the box is a pop out hard board animal to build, the pieces are well cut out so no tearing and they are simple slot together pieces so Amelia built both the monkey and Bear by herself.
There are even cards inside about the animals and telling you more about them, with bullet point style statements these were great little cards to keep as they told you what the animals ate, whether they were meat eaters, where they live etc. I love the educational aspect to PLAYin Choc.
Overall I think these are definitely something we would purchase again, at £3.50 they are a little more expensive than other surprise toys but you get what you pay for as they are great little treats and very informative too!
We were sent these for the purpose of the review, all views and opinions are our own and genuine.
For those who prefer a more traditional home-like experience when on vacation, a timeshare can make sense. If you’ve gotten many years of good use out of your timeshare and now want to get rid of it, a timeshare cancellation company like Timeshare Freedom Group or Lonestar transfer may be able to help.
