Amelia is at the stage now where everything on TV is on her Christmas list, he most uttered words at the moment are…
WANT DAT!
Since I can’t seem to get anything other than WANT DAT out of her with regards to what she would actually like for Christmas I have made a little list. This is what she has been playing with lately, in the hope that a simply list might be good for other two, almost 3 year olds!
Amelia loves soft toys and if they talk to you or play a tune then all the better! Lily and Salty are characters from Lilys Driftwood Bay where she Lily lives with her dad in an abandoned beach hunt on an isolated beach. Lily enjoys adventures with her trusty dog Salty! When you press Lilys hand she sings the theme tune to the cartoon which I have to admit is very catchy and it is a bit of a tune that sticks in the brain! Both a great size for little hands and very cuddly too! RRP: £9.99
If you follow my blog you will know how much my girls love the bath so any toys that can transition from floor to bath are a complete winner! Tomy Remote Control Rescue Boat is a fabulous first remote control toy as it is all operated with a press of the one button, this gives a squeak and the rescue boat glides through the water. Press again and it will bob to a halt. Press one more time to squirt the water cannon! The unit is perfectly safe in the water and it’s designed to float. RRP: £17.99
All of a sudden and out of no where, having never wanted to watch him before, Amelia now obsessed with Mr Tumble. She has learned a lot of the signs and sings along in her own little world with the theme tune and loves the over the top antics of Justin et al! This fabulous Mr Tumble Spotty Bag is ideal for little hands as it has a number of different texture spots including fur, bubble, towel and silk. Inside the bag is 5 word cards featuring Makaton signs. Mr Tumbles Car features a flashing nose, Mr Tumble Figurine, Word cards with Makaton signs and when you push the magic button on the top you hear the Hello song. The door opens to pop Mr Tumble inside and the car wobbles when pushed along! Made by GoldenBearToys and priced at £29.99 for the car and £14.99 for the bag.
I have written in the past about our love of family games night and it is good to be able to involve Amelia in these nights too! To do that though we obviously need age appropriate games, ones she can easily understand or pick up on quickly by copying. Tactic Games have a whole host of games for all ages and we have been loving playing both Bingo and Junior Alias lately (Junior Alias is slightly older but she is on a team with us and we whisper the words for her to shout and act out so still involved!) Bingo is TY theme so includes pictures of all the girls favourites and more of a matching game than anything so gets little ones use to putting colours, shapes etc together too, the fact there are a couple of different colour backgrounds on the animals makes it a little more interesting for older children too. Age 3+ Junior Alias is a game where you need to act out the words on the cards in teams to see who guesses right. You play in teams and act, hint, make sounds etc for your teammates. Amelia plays with one of us and can act out car by pretending to drive, or cake by pretending to mix etc. Age 5+ Games start from £9.99
Our girls both love Fairies so anything to do with the magical world would get them giddy! There are fairy doors everywhere lately and thats ok if you want to buy your own already decorated one but how about a kit to make your own?? The Paint Your Own Fairy Door from The Irish Fairy Door Company contains a fairy door, decorative pieces, paint pots, paint brush, colouring in pens, fairy notepad, fairy welcome guide colouring in book, stepping stones and a bottle containing a magic key! You can even register your fairy to receive exclusive stories and play ideas from Fairy Valley. Age 3+ and priced at £20.00
I hope this gives a couple of ideas for really great Christmas presents for the toddler in your life!
XOXO
Debbie and Amelia

For those who prefer a more traditional home-like experience when on vacation, a timeshare can make sense. If you’ve gotten many years of good use out of your timeshare and now want to get rid of it, a timeshare cancellation company like Timeshare Freedom Group or Lonestar transfer may be able to help.
